Walmart has long been a facilitator of fraud on a mass scale, a ProPublica investigation found.

More than $1 billion in fraud losses were routed through the company’s financial services between 2013 and 2022.

If the US invested in child care and had national policies like paid leave comparable to other industrialized countries, we would generate $775 billion of economic activity a year. The question should not be, “how can we afford to do this?” The question is, “how can we afford not to?” Let’s do this.

Much of the cardboard and paper goods strewn about our homes are sold by a single private company, with its name, Uline, stamped on the bottom.

Many may not know that a multibillion-dollar fortune made on those ubiquitous products fuels far-right candidates across the country.

That Cardboard Box in Your Home Is Fueling Election Denial
A previously unreported boom in profits for the shipping supply giant Uline has provided the funds for a deeply conservative Midwestern family to bankroll anti-democracy causes around the country.

Psychologists settled best practices for trans healthcare decades ago. People were safely treated with counseling, puberty blockers, hormones, surgery, for DECADES.

Today's GOP used a moral panic to win power. And keep control of your body (cis or trans).

This administration specializes in fearmongering, not facts.

The facts: 86% of trans youth report s*cidal ideation and 56% have attempted to end their lives. Anti trans laws increase attempts by ~72%. <1% report regretting GAC.

I wrote what turned out to be a long thread of how the most right wing government in Finnish history has thoroughly failed the promises it made to the voters - just as anyone with a calculator could've told before the election. Sadly journalists were apparently unable to find the Calculator app.
And despite pushing record numbers of children to poverty, causing a record fall in especially young people's confidence in their future and a near record fall in their willingness to defend Finland, the most right wing government in Finland's history has utterly failed its key promises to voters.
