It's revealing about taboos around racism that the visceral bullying racism of schoolboy Farage cuts through while the much more consequential thinly veiled racism of adult Farage doesn't. It's as if this goverment decided to amputate a leg and after that considered investigating if it required amputation, ultimately ignoring that advice, which was against amputation in the first place and then declared "What a clever government we are".

This Bill could invalidate the votes of enough people to swing the next election in favour of the current government for no reason other than that they failed to fill out the correct piece of paper by the "proper" time (as defined by the people who benefit from the rule change).

The bill would prevent same-day enrolments, ban prisoners from voting, and tighten up the rules around treating.
