Probably a hot take, but while Thanos was actually intended to be a ripoff of Darkseid, I think Apocalypse is just as heavily "inspired" by Darkseid.

I'm still expecting a "King Alpha". The book is telling you outright that you fight King Omega Darkseid with another King Omega. An *Alpha* as the opposite makes for a twist that suits this story.

Or whatever the opposite of the Horseman of Conquest is. #DCKO

It was a good start. A lot of... well, I'm tired of "(Creator's name)-isms" as a criticism in and of itself, so I'll say that continuing Justice League and Death Metal's fixation on a specific binary is annoying. Superman's compassion shines through. #DCKO

The repeated mentions of a champion of "conquest", plus calling the Absolute Trinity "horsemen". So the winner is just the Fourth Horseman of Apokolips. #DCKO

The Heart of Apokolips teases Absolute Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman's involvement in the tournament, and teases "One last champion."

I would *maybe* be less obnoxious about this if it were different binaries. Love vs Hate, Day vs Night, some other thing. But it's very blatantly the *same* binary, and either changing the labels for each side of it, or finding other binaries to fold into the same one as usual.

Doomsday explains who someone restarted the whole timeline for everybody, but that the timeline was reabsorbed into reality. Nightwing asks how that turned out for everyone, while Zatanna asks if they would remember or be the same people. The World Forger says they would not.
