Bravo Lando! 2025 F1 World Drivers Champion.

Wasn’t a faultless campaign, few ever are, but he’s proved a lot of his doubters wrong this year, that supposedly mental fragility that should have been so exposed after the mid-season DNF was rarely seen. A deserving world champion. (1/2)

I think the most surprising thing about the World Cup draw is it seems some people watched the World Cup draw.

That draw was an unbearable surreal-fest. It was like watching football's carcass being picked at by preening, self-satisfied vultures.

A masterpiece here from @gunnerblog.bsky.social whose comedy background makes for some exquisite punchlines.

Remember when they were cracking down on simulation or trying to deceive the referee this season? What did Bernardo Silva (on a yellow) just do?

Arsenal end the half with two-thirds possession and 98 final third touches to City's 43. By the end they were really controlling territory but it resulted in far too few shots (four to City's three). They need a shot-creating option that isn't Madueke or a set piece.

I admire Mo Salah's restraint.

"Farewell". Really?

Top drawer lap from Russell that. Blimey. Max still doing Max things dragging lap time kicking and screaming from that car. Oscar will probably be hoping McLaren continue with some strong race pace. Lando will likely be very annoyed at himself.

This thread is so depressing
This past semester was the most stressful of my academic career. I had 180 students and about half cheated at some point in the semester

They submit weekly reflections where the questions are opinion-based, graded only on effort, don't care about grammar

SO MANY students submitted ChatGPT essays
I talked to 15 teachers/professors about how AI and ChatGPT is ruining their lives:

Just caught up with the race. Oscar faultless again. Max’s complaints about Charles are laughable, Charles squeezed him and had the right to. Max chose to not move, he can have no complaints. I sympathise with his view that he shouldn’t have to give the place back to George but what followed…(1/2)

The astonishing thing is how major mainstream media platforms, publishing companies etc have given this man all the rewards and platforms you might expect them to give an actual great thinker. Actually not astonishing, entirely predictable.
This is genuinely so bad, he can’t even answer basic questions from budding teen atheists lmfao. It’s like that scene in game of thrones when all the children ganged up and stabbed grand maester pycelle to death

Smaller cars, move the nouvelle chicane closer to tabac giving a longer, straighter run to a deeper braking zone.

The unique challenge that Monaco brings is something that should be maintained, but if you can’t pass when a driver is going 5 or 6 seconds a lap slower then the cars are a problem #F1

Really good lap that from Lando. He’s looked the man to beat all through quali and he’s delivered.

The unthinkable, and frankly unforgivable has happened.

It’s against the natural order of things. For all we know there could be plagues of locusts, earthquakes, floods.

A truly awful day.

Word of appreciation for Ferrari today. Both drivers had good races (if for some poor luck for Charles) and the team had confident and concise responses to the drivers queries with none of this "we'll get back to you in 3-5 working days" nonsece thy'ce become accustomed to. #F1

Don't let the fact that Max got lucky with the safety cars, he had a sublime race regardless. A magnificent pass for the lead on lap one followed by a metronomically faultless race till the end. Absolutely phenomenal. #F1

This is genuinely stupid from Mclaren. I live Oscar but through no fault of his own he's on a tyre Delta disadvantage to Norris. Meanwhile Max is running away from them. Ferrari levels of nonsense here. #F1

I always say that Max is good enough to not do the things that I criticise him for in wheel to wheel racing and he just proved my point, that pass on Piastri was phenomenal. Bravo. #F1

Get in Palace! Wonderful stuff!
Crystal Palace have done it. They have won their first ever major trophy.

Oliver Glasner's side beat Manchester City 1-0 in the FA Cup final at Wembley.

Selhurst Park's immortals.

Decent race that. Mclaren painfully dominant for the others. Williams’ with another solid display which brings me great joy. Russell with another very good drive.

Also loved seeing Ocon vs Hamilton showing us how wheel-to-wheel racing should be done. None of this “push them off the track” rubbish.
