My statement after Senate Republicans blocked my legislation with @schiff.senate.gov to stop the continued use of U.S. Armed Forces in the southern Caribbean Sea without specific authorization by Congress:
Blue background with the following text: "Americans want fewer wars—not more—and our Constitution clearly grants Congress alone the power to declare one. Yet President Trump has repeatedly launched illegal military strikes in the Caribbean, and has refused to provide Congress with basic information about who was killed, why the strikes were necessary, and why a standard interdiction operation wasn’t conducted. Should this lawless Administration drag our servicemembers into an escalating conflict without a specific authorization by Congress, every American will be able to tell from today’s vote if their senators tried to stop it, or rolled over."

Happy birthday, Sci-fi Queen Sigourney.

And she's far from finished with sci-fi, as she'll be appearing in Avatar: Fire and Ash (Dec. 2025) and The Mandalorian & Grogu (May 2026).

We are now taking donations of blowup costumes to Portland. These blowup costumes are desperately needed by protesters who are continuing to fight the good fight. Please note that we already have too many T-Rexs, so please, no more T-Rexs.

When I was on a jury last month, it really hit home for me just how important it is to take the standards you’re supposed to hold prosecutors to seriously — because they may very well not meet them.

Honestly, people need to STOP claiming this is all about nullification.

These were people who were basically pushed, IDed their legal guns, and then arrested.

That's not an assault.

Today is a day when arts degrees are worthless, but the product of those degrees is so valuable it would kill an entire industry if they were made to pay for it.

Frank Herbert (1920-1986) was born 105 years ago today.

Here's Frank Herbert with David Lynch, who wrote and directed the first Dune adaptation in 1984 (and who passed away in January).

Oh what a shame, this is a great topic to explore.

There must be dozens of great game or movie concepts that haven't seen the light of day in recent years so as not to offend fascists. 😤

At least there is Indy. The last game was awesome and I never got tired of killing Nazis with a toilet brush.

Got a free trial of Shudder for the next week. What should I watch? Not into slasher films; I mostly like folk horror and thrillers. (I got the free trial to watch Starve Acre, which is good enough, but if you've seen literally any other folk horror film you already know how it ends.)

The Speaker of the House is refusing to swear in an elected official, leaving an entire district without representation, just to block a vote that would release files on the world’s most notorious pedophile, whom the President once called his best friend. Why isn’t this on every front page?!
