The whole "go for 2 or not" discourse would be less exhausting if professional football announcers would make some kind of effort towards understanding the theory (basically that "you want to know how many possessions you need ASAP")

Thing about a "12 team playoff" in CFB is that the number of teams that have a legitimate argument for "we're the best team" is almost always less than 12 (but often more than 4.) So as long as you get all those teams in your tournament, there's no harm in omitting anybody from the 2nd tier.

I think in order to have "bad pie" you basically have to fail completely in execution (e.g. mistook salt for sugar) or invent some new horrible thing. Like that Taco Bell Baja Blast pie opens up a whole category of bad pies as vehicles for "thickened flavored liquids."

I don't think ham belong at Thanksgiving. If you're not convinced you're going to supply enough protein for all of your guests, just cook more turkeys. I've done as many as 4 birds for one gathering.
