statutorily. in practice, tens of thousands of cops are under agreements to issue detainers and assist with arrests during routine policing work. but i guess it’s a matter of how you compartmentalize.
ICE is not law enforcement, they are not police, they are paramilitary. Opposing ICE is not against law enforcement, it is not against police, it is against paramilitary.
