Q: Can I bring you back to Greenland?

LUTNICK: No. It's not necessary. The Western Hemisphere is vital for the United States of America.

Today marks exactly 52 weeks until JD Vance can succeed Donald Trump as president and still run for two full terms in office.

In my piece for subscribers today, I wrote about how that number might be the defining statistic of year 2 of Trump 47.

When Donald Trump took office last year, he brought Project 2025 to the White House with him. One year later, the administration is still working through its list. So what can Project 2025 tell us about where the Trump administration is going next?
What’s next for Project 2025?
And how much has the Trump administration already accomplished from its playbook?

Donald Trump is headed to the World Economic Forum in Switzerland to brag about wrecking the American economy.

That's why I've also flown to Davos — with an extra suitcase of kneepads for those caving to Trump's insanity — to vigorously defend California as an alternative to Trump's world disorder.
Gov. Newsom at Davos rips into world leaders who think they can appease Trump: “I should have brought a bunch of knee pads for all the world leaders.…this is pathetic”

Donald Trump is showing off photos of people who allegedly committed crimes that justify the occupation of all of Minneapolis.

Look at this guy who was charged with sex assault and obstructing justice.

Boy, imagine letting someone like that walk around free.

Good morning. New tariff threat just dropped.

200% tariff on French wine (unless France joins the “Board of Peace”).

Stabilizing!

Some perspective: The S&P opened down -1.3% on Trump's Greenland saber-rattling. That's $750 billion of wealth destroyed -- roughly equal to estimates of the value of Greenland.

And so ~in dollar terms~ his shenanigans have already cost the US one Greenland, and we've got nothing to show for it.

EU Tells Trump ‘a Deal Is a Deal’ as Greenland Threats Escalate
President Donald Trump’s economic threats on the European Union over acquiring Greenland amount to a “mistake” that violates a trade arrangement forged last year between the transatlantic allies, the bloc’s executive said.

This pattern stands in contrast to the idea of Trumpism’s irresistible march towards consolidated authoritarian rule.

It should be a reminder: Being lawless, immoral, and violent does not make the Trumpists omnipotent. Obscuring that distinction is an act of defeatism that only serves the regime.

Fascism is anti-human.

It requires the complete abdication of your ethics, morals and values.

The death of your soul.

This is the price.

There is no safety or salvation in staying quiet or looking the other way.
