Today is a day when arts degrees are worthless, but the product of those degrees is so valuable it would kill an entire industry if they were made to pay for it.

Sure!
I made some amazing friends. And I had two books published.
That’s great for a lifetime not just the short window of my life where social media has been so prevalent.

Has anything great happened in your life because of social media?

Six weeks ago, I picked up a year-old tawny owl with a broken leg off the main road near our home and dropped him off at our nearest vet.

After a few days, I received one of the most bizarre phone calls I’ve ever had, asking “So when are you coming to pick up your owl?” 🧵

944) Covenbots. Double, double toil and troublebots. Witchbots three who meet to places hexes, sow curses and generally get up to witchy mischief. Cauldronbot is a repurposed prototype Brewbot. Frogbot not included (but they can turn another robot into one anyway). #SmallRobotsRemonstered #Halloween
Three round robots with banded arms and legs, wearing witch hats and standing around a robot cauldron with legs. One is looking into the glowing, bubbling contents with a malevolent smile, one (with a wart) is raising its hands, speaking some sort of spell, and one is holding a broomstick. In the shadows at their feet, a Cattobot stalks an oblivious Frogbot.

Note for those who know neither Oxford nor Cambridge: hard though it is to believe, “they punt from the wrong end” is not, in fact, a euphemism.

Unsolicited writing advice, no. 170: Words matter. Words are the conduit for ideas. Words can affect the way your readers see the world; how they behave; how they relate to others. Every political movement, every religion, philosophy, war, began with ideas, translated into words. Use them wisely.

"You've let me down, you've let the squadron down... and worst of of all you've let yourself down."
Russian MoD video with a partially deflated decoy aircraft in the background. Like a dog receiving a bollocking its tail is tucked away out of sight and its nose is down.
