A federally funded community health center in Kansas has filed at least 1,000 lawsuits since 2020 against patients over unpaid bills.

Many of the patients sued were uninsured and qualified for discounted care, a former employee told ProPublica.

Relatedly, before “Midway Blitz,” Srs JoAnn Persch and (now deceased) Pat Murphy used to minister ALSO to ICE / DHS employees in Broadview. Taking away direct contact with ministers who reminded ICE of their own humanity also serves the end of dehumanizing the immigrants detained at Broadview.
