It's been a rough week already, but on Tuesday before class I recorded a brief introduction to my Intro to Literary Studies course, giving some local context and intellectual framing for why I think the serious study of games, game-writing, game criticism, & more is worth trying.

Honestly the biggest barrier to going to a gym is that it feels like walking into the 4th year practical exam for a class you didn't attend in a language you don't speak.

I understand, intellectually, how people could find Pluribus boring, the same way I can understand people I’ve talked to over the years saying Blade Runner is boring. But also I don’t understand because having just watched the season finale I can say that I was hypnotized basically the entire season

Galaxy Quest, like Iron Giant , Fury Road and Tremors, is one of those rare movies without flaws. It's not just good, but miraculous.
Galaxy Quest - a perfect movie, just a wonderful love letter to actors, sci-fi, Star Trek in particular, and to fandom - really deserves a proper physical release with decent extras. Think Weaver's right that releasing a R-rated cut would be fun, too.
