People always reinvent trying to put themselves in charge of other people. It's always either evil or foolish. Freedom of autonomy wasn't something reluctantly granted to "remove discrimination", it's a profound philosophical stance and the only one that's ever worked. Pluralism is the only way.

i want to believe the US will not let trump get away with saying that the shooter was actually ran over, and injured, and he is in hospital recovering & it is surprising he survived. none of that is even conceivably a bend of the truth, it's just a completely different reality. beyond the pale
