Artists on VFX farms are blue collar art workers & don't make bank. The hours are absurd & the work intense. Paying them even less is unconscionable, let alone on movies raking in billions on the books. Why are these wealthy people allowed to demand the people making their money be paid peanuts.

This is small potatoes I know but I suffered through so much awful queer media in my youth, which is why I started making my own, and queer media is finally so good with so much variety and it's actually entertaining and now the government wants to ban it all.

The top reason studios use consulting labour for narrative is that they all want to avoid having a greater quantity of writers and narrative designers on the full-time payroll. That's it. It's to get the stuff designed and written but also save money/commitment.
I think the thing that gets muddled about us over and over again is that we *do* write things! We *are* game devs! And so when people say we just give feedback or opinions it looks like we’re being caught in a lie.
