You know why they made the first "AI actor" a woman, right? It's so they can make her do whatever they want. And she'll look like she's enjoying it too. #TillyNorwood

Has anyone yet found a replacement to the TFL map of weekend closures? No, I will not download their app just to see a simple visual of what's open and what's not. Is there an account on here I could follow with that information?

So, right now, the only reliable way to diagnose endometriosis is with exploratory surgery. But finally, real scientists (instead of male scientists), are on the job & of course they’ve identified multiple markers in menstrual blood that point to noninvasive testing.

** Oh, this is a lovely story! **
The knight stood, triumphant, over the prostrate dragon. He raised his sword high above his head and-

"I wouldn't if i were you"

The voice was in his head. Confused, he glanced around. A black cat was cleaning a paw, casually nearby.

He raised the sword again.

"Are you REALLY, really sure?" /1

Want to see billboards in every major city that just say

'Power Bill Too High? Thank "Generative AI"' and then a link to a website all about "AI" and data center energy and water use

Sadly I found #TheNakedGun lacking. A few ok giggles, but no proper laughs from me. It could have been a lot sillier imo, and the lack of background visual humour was disappointing.

Writers should internalize Lao Tzu's lesson about how the emptiness at the center of a wheel is what makes it useful, and how a pot is valuable because of where the clay *isn't*. Corporate geek culture has warped us into thinking that negative spaces are flaws that need to be fixed.
Can't stress this enough: nobody fucking cares what he was up to

Someone on here said that videogames offer a fantasy of predictable rewards for one's work, which in real life might not be rewarded at all. I think about it a lot!
I don't understand how video game market can support so many farming games. Do young people yearn for the fields?

‘why are transphobes so obsessed with genitals?’

it’s actually simple. they’re sexists. they’re obsessed with sex bcos they’re sexists. they view everything through the lens of sex.

trans ppl existing really throws a spanner in the works and they short circuit. that’s why they want us eradicated.

16) Stole this one from a recent skeet I saw:

If generative AI could REALLY make the next GTA in 6 months with 10 staff, or write the next bestseller, or produce 10 blockbusters a day? They wouldn't be trying to sell it to YOU. They would keep it for themselves and guard it from you ferociously.

Picked up some new glasses. It's been so long since I had a prescription change that I'm just like, "are the glasses wrong, or do my eyes just need to adjust?"

Has anyone ever been on a routemaster bus where the aircon vaguely worked? The 68 and 176 are just ovens. Can't wait for that design to be scrapped.

"The problem with AI isn't that it can do your job. It can't. The problem with AI is that your MBA-brained boss's boss doesn't know how your job works and thinks AI can do your job at fractions of a penny on the dollar, and hears the siren song of 'maximize shareholder value'."

MBA-brain is real.
