I'm delighted that my friend @ragrawal.bsky.social was able to bring his eye for travel UX to this recap of taking Zoox robotaxis around Vegas. Verdict: Although their for-now price of $0 is compelling, they don't match up to Waymo yet.

Here’s what it’s like inside Amazon's toaster-like AV—and how it stacks up against its biggest rival.

It’s the best tv experience because you only have to pay attention for the 11 minutes of actual play time.

It’s the worst live sports experience because you have to be there the other 150 minutes, waiting for those 11 minutes to be played.
It really is amazing that despite being the worst live sport experience and best TV experience, NFL stadiums are constantly mobbed

Journalism at its best. Journalists putting their lives on their lines to report the human stories, often with a small audience.

And they generally don’t get the big dollars that the pundits who sit in studios in NY and DC yammering the same staid talking points over and over.

I’ve been holding this in but… seems remiss not to recall the assassination of the abortion doctors? The bombing of clinics? Why act as if this is without that context?
The brazen murder of a CEO in Midtown Manhattan—and the cheering reaction to his execution—amounts to a blinking-and-blaring warning signal for a society that has become already too inured to bloodshed, @adriennelaf.bsky.social writes. theatln.tc/ZRcsrreK

Enjoy it while lasts. Communities start out good. Then once there is traction, the trolls line up.
One reason Bluesky (still) works for news is that there’s no obvious, pervasive culture of misinformation. If someone you trust reshares something on, say, Syria, the odds that it’s a chud trying to troll people remains relatively low.
