Thinking of that time when my dad, himself a doctor, was thrown by a horse on a trail ride. Punctured his spleen, internal bleeding, got him to an ER just in time. He lived another 20 years. With two hours delay, probably wouldn't have.

We rushed to *nearest* ER. Not comparison-shop for ER prices.
Roger Marshall: "We want patients to become consumers again. We want patients to see what the actual prices are. We believe that if we would add the price tags to this bill, that it would save the country a trillion dollars a year."

No, this is wrong, stop reposting this absurd and miscalculated meme.

It assumes Cratchit is working a 40 hour work week (he isn't) and that straight line inflation extrapolations over centuries are valid (they're not) and fails to understand both Victorian class and household finance.

Wild how this is a controversial and bold stance in certain circles when she's simply 100% truthful.
Amanda Seyfried tells WhoWhatWear she won’t apologize for calling Charlie Kirk “hateful”:

“I mean, for f**k’s sake, I commented on one thing. I said something that was based on actual reality and actual footage and actual quotes.“

Oh, we *seized* the oil tanker? We didn't blow it to smithereens and kill everyone on board like we do with fishing vessels a fraction of the size?

Interdiction has *always* been possible, but the bloodthirsty sociopaths in Trump II choose violence so they can feel like real men and get clicks.
Trump: "It's been an interesting day from the standpoint of news. As you probably know, we've just seized a tanker on the coast of Venezuela. Largest one ever seized actually. And other things are happening."

Okay, first off, 34 is NOT the cutoff for millennials, fuck off with that nonsense.

Second off, did my generation have some sort of red head renaissance? Like, did Jessica Rabbit and growing up as teens with Kirsten Dunst as MJ and Christina Hendricks in Firefly really get all of us that bad?
Maybe generational divides are real

Saying that money and any expenditure therein is an expression of free speech that is not legally limitable only ever gave more power of speech to people with money. It is one of the most anti-democratic stances to exist and repealing Citizens United and its ilk is required for America's survival.
GOP's tryna end limits on how much party committees can spend "in coordination" w candidates

this would basically nullify limits on individual candidate contributions too since The Rich could use parties as middlemen to move $$$ to their preferred bribe recipient

Republicans Are Counting On the Supreme Court to Help Them Buy Elections
The GOP’s strategy for winning political power isn’t persuading voters. It’s controlling the Court.

So, for the unaware, there basically is a green card like this already, the EB-5, requiring an investment of $800k-$1.05m in US business depending on the type of business and its necessity.

The key, bigger problem here is where proceeds go to "an account". Meaning... to Trump.
Trump says the Gold Card proceeds will go "an account where we can do things positive for the country. Many billions of dollars"

During Trump’s first term, The Post got a tip that his doctor — the guy with the long hair who signed that first “healthiest guy ever” letter — wanted to spill the beans. He lived in Westchester, up near where I lived at the time. So I was tasked with talking to him. 1/
