I'm reading The Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood. So many great lines. They stop me dead in my tracks!

Regardless of the politics, we are all on the clock. We don't know when the end will come, so must strive for and cherish all we can. ❤️
Former Nebraska Senator Ben Sasse says he doesn’t have much time left.

Sasse is just 53 years old.

The DOJ identified at least 10 co-conspirators who worked with Epstein and Maxwell. It’s obvious to anyone with two eyes that Epstein and Maxwell were engaged in organized crime, yet NO ONE ELSE involved in Epstein’s sex trafficking ring has faced criminal charges. Why?

I know there is so much bad news breaking. But I refuse to give up on America. I know brighter days are ahead. Together we can resist those who refuse to let the light in. We will succeed. I know it deep in my bones.
The CBS investigation portrays a modern concentration camp, similar to the Soviet GULAG (like CECOT, an acronym): sadistic guards, 24 hour lighting, isolation cells.
Americans once opposed this inhumane system.
The Trump administration sent innocent people there to suffer.
The full spiked 60 Minutes CECOT package, clean & subtitled. 1/5

He’s gilded the entire White House, slapped his name on both the Kennedy Center and Institute for Peace, installed a new Trump Gold Card, and now proposing a new “Trump class” of naval vessels.

I know we keep saying this is insane but this is seriously fucking insane.

That's so messed up. Epstein is saying he and Trump were into abusing girls, and one of them became president while the other went to prison.

Then a few days later he kills himself.
DOJ briefly uploaded this letter from Jeff Epstein to serial child molester Larry Nassar:

"Our president shares our love of young, nubile girls. When a young beauty walked by he loved to 'grab snatch,' whereas we ended up snatching grub in the mess halls of the system."

They are so, so, so incompetent
So apparently there are many Epstein files on the DOJ website where you can highlight the redacted text, copy it, and paste it onto another document to read the redactions

One of the things that needs to become clear in 2026 is that big changes are possible if you pitch them. Talk positively. Explain the pros and cons like an adult. Be enthusiastic. Repeat the idea. Answer questions about it. Sell the notion that we can make things better. People want to buy in.

Guards began beating him. Beat him until he bled. Knocked his face into the wall, broke all his teeth. No access to outdoors, no contact with relatives.

Now describing US knowledge of CECOT's torture practices, followed by footage of Trump praising those practices.

There is a non-stop drip drip drip of bots following my account.

Makes me wonder if Supreme Court justices have been buried under an avalanche of nation-state sock puppet accounts. I'd be shocked if they haven't.

Does FBI counter-intelligence include unfollowing and blocking accounts?

Ransone was able to tap into a visceral insecurity that is familiar to so many Americans. Wanting to be more. Always on the brink of ruin. Also feeling a deep connection to community.

Rest in peace, James. You made a big impact on this guy, and I'm very greatful. 🙏🏼

Honestly, it’s the perfect role for a VP. They’re usually the more partisan one and they usually need something to do.

Imagine the joy of Tim Walz in a hard hat, behind the wheel of a wrecking ball
There's a series of things (like the ballroom, Gulf of America) that we're going to have to *undo* the moment this guy is out of office.
And yet I can already hear future Democrat presidents saying "I'm focused on the people's work, not the knucklehead stuff" and just leave this man's shit up.

Incredible article. Even more so considering it is 84 years old and could have been written yesterday.
Every few months now I re-read this "Who Goes Nazi?" piece from 1941 and am blown away by how it captures the people we are dealing with 80 years later.

What a devastating fact. 💔
Something that what happened in Australia and the ensuing discourse has brought back in to my mind is that there are still fewer Jews in the world today than there were in 1939

I'm very proud of the response to the horrific shooting we had yeaterday at Bondi beach. 🇦🇺

Bystanders helping each other shelter. Disarming a shooter. Police confront the shooters. Supporting the Jewish comminity today.

Excellent work. Let's continue caring for one another. ❤️❤️❤️

The ACA isn't just "health care for people who don't have a conventional employer." It also disallows something that was incredibly common 20 years ago, which I fear is getting lost to generational memory: insurance companies could deny you health care for essentially any previous health problem.
I'm dubious about Amazon's commitment to keeping pre-existing conditions a thing of the past.
