Referring to the US as a "homeland" was always creepy as fuck, always nazi-adjacent, and creating a Dept. of Homeland Security was an obvious lurch toward authoritarianism that should have been strenuously resisted from the beginning.

I am hearing that RFK Jr.’s minions are going to go after HPV vaccines. I’ve got problems with these people and now you’re going to hear about them, first from a personal perspective and then from a professional one.

It all boils down to this: WE HAVE A SAFE VACCINE THAT PREVENTS CANCER.

Remember that the violence and brutality of ICE is outrageous, but it's not the only problem with the administration's immigration enforcement surge. It started out being about the "worst of the worst" (violent criminals), then quickly morphed to include anyone found with a status violation. But […]

They expect me to have some sort of insight or wisdom, and maybe I do, but it might not be […]

Hi Friends,
The @TonyMcQuail Twitter/X account is no longer active. The campaign and I made the decision that we cannot stand behind a company-owned and manipulated by a fascist oligarch, containing a dangerously unregulated AI platform, and not reflecting […]

If the old order is not coming back, our elections cannot stay stuck in it.

First-past-the-post no longer reflects how Canada votes.

Proportional representation is how we build something better and stronger.

Mozilla is asking for your opinion about what it's doing, and the survey appears to be aimed at getting you used to the idea that "AI" will become an integral focus area.

I told them that I want Mozilla to focus SOLELY on improving Firefox and Thunderbird, with zero AI in the product.

I don’t really understand why that result is different […]

Spring always comes.

How do we keep ourselves and our spirits (and our comrades, and their spirits) fed and warm until it does?

What will we be prepared to plant when the ground thaws?
