So we have two immigrant heroes. One in Australia who helped disarm one of the shooters and one in the US who helped track down the Brown U shooter. When a man stabbed several people in the UK, it was also an immigrant who disarmed him.

Weird that the Far Right keeps vilifying immigrants.

It’s easier to have morals, ethics, scruples… when you are fed, warm, housed.

So. If you need to raise an army of goons, it’s important to squeeze the life out of people first.

Not a suggestion. A warning.

Just finished reading A Children's Bible by Lydia Millet. Really knocked me on my ass. The pace was breathtaking. I couldn't figure out if I related to the children or the adults more. Maybe that's the point.

If some guy stole my shit and made millions off it while wiping out my job prospects, and you, as my friend, bought that guy's cheap mass market replica of my shit, you and i would for obvious reasons have a problem. It being a massive company, not a guy, actually makes it even more of a problem.

Like women legitimately can’t win because the mindset always has to be about being unfair to the man. “Women only want hot guys” and “I go to the gym and buy nice clothes but women still don’t want me” are the same damn thing. “Women are materialistic and don’t care about my good job” ok sure
