Please take the time to listen to this. Marc Elias is the real deal, and routinely argues cases in front of the Supreme Court, particularly cases the involving voting rights act. It’s imperative to understand what’s happening below the surface that main stream media is rather silent about.

AI is Destroying the University and Learning Itself
Students use AI to write papers, professors use AI to grade them, degrees become meaningless, and tech companies make fortunes. Welcome to the death of higher education.

Elections have consequences.
“…Even if they are able to clean up his mess … elect a supremely sane president next, America will NEVER again be a trusted partner. Because there are enough Americans who would vote for him … (again).

I couldn't even say anything. She was right. The damage this has done is endless…”

An interesting and applicable speech from 1869.
On Aug 24, 1869, Ohio Rep. John Bingham, principal framer of the 14th amendment, gave a remarkable speech on “Equal Rights-Impartial Suffrage,” in which he said of those who sought to reject the principal of birthright citizenship, “no greater political atrocity than this can possibly be committed.”

Judge Anthony Napolitano on Newsmax: "It gives me no pleasure to say what I’m about to say because I worked with Pete Hegseth for seven or eight years at Fox News. This is an act of a war crime... There’s absolutely no legal basis for it.”
Woah. Newsmax’s legal analyst just said Pete Hegseth and everyone involved in the illegal boat strike should be “prosecuted for a war crime.”

They’ve even lost Newsmax on this one.

I'm mostly trying to stay out of US politics rn but the whole Sec of War doing the example of an illegal order to bomb drug dealers and start a war for oil whilst the Prez pardons a drug dealer is a pretty impressive shitstorm

So egregious.
Imagine what it does to morale in the military to see the defense secretary hang an admiral out to dry to avoid responsibility for war crimes.

General heads up, Zillow no longer lists the climate risk data (Floods, Fires, etc) on a house you are looking to buy, because real estate agents said it was hurting sales. At minimum, for insurance reasons, this is information you need to know if you're shopping.

A study by Dayforce shows 87% of executives use AI for work, compared to 57% of managers and just 27% of employees.

I think this explains the massive disconnect we see in how CEOs talk about AI versus everyone else. It also raises the question of how useful it truly is for frontline work?
Execs are embracing AI more than their employees are, new research suggests
Research from HR software company Dayforce suggests that executives are leaning into AI far more than their employees.

This is how our government has been corrupted:

1) Donors give huge sums to elect politicians to office
2) Elected officials rewrite rules in the donors' favor
3) Donors make huge profit
4) Repeat

We must get big money out of politics.

It is the root of our dysfunction.
