The PileOfGoop handle was already taken when I got here, so I had to call this account RealPoG instead.
I can't use DMs here until I verify my age via face scan, because of Australia's new under-16-ban laws.

I know multiple women who genuinely, truly believe that their children are more likely to die from a HPV vaccination side effect than they are from the cancers that HPV causes. I have no idea how you even begin to undo that level of mass psychosis in society.
I will never forgive RFK Jr. for what he’s done… never.

The layers of hell he has unleashed in many different areas — not just healthcare — over the past two decades have caused so much damage, it’s overwhelming.

He is one of the greatest villains of the 21st century.

“Liam Neeson should not lend his name to promoting an anti-science, anti-public health documentary,” said Prof @doritreiss.bsky.social, vaccine law expert at UCSF College of the Law. Children have already died this year as a result of preventable outbreaks fueled by policies under Kennedy & Trump.
SCOOP: Academy Award-nominee Liam Neeson narrated a recent anti-vaccine documentary that glorifies RFK Jr.’s rise to power.

In the film, Neeson—a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador—calls the COVID-19 vaccines “dangerous experiments.”

The awful toll of 'freebirth'. If Stacey & her family were told by a 'doula' that post-partum haemorrhage was 'extremely rare' that's so misleading. It's 'rare' but a well-known complication - it can kill very fast. The hospital staff will all have seen it before. www.theage.com.au/national/vic...

Just imagining how much better it would be if ALL news stories about vaccine-preventable illnesses were illustrated with pictures of people with the disease, not pictures of needle injections. If you must show something that people will find scary & unpleasant, make it the disease, not the cure.
I'm so tired of measles.

I'm also tired of people using needle shots on stories like this.

Showing me a needle shot on a story about a measles outbreak gets me to associate vaccination with disease... which is wrong.

A Sharon Begley byline, almost 5 years after her death.

Upon hearing the news James Watson had died, a STAT reporter said in our Slack, "I wish I could read what Sharon would have written."

Incredible news: Sharon in fact did pre-write a Watson obit. And it is masterful and excoriating.

STUDY: Covid during pregnancy tied to autism, developmental issues in kids.

So… by attacking Covid vaccines (all vaccines) thus contributing to the spread of Covid, are dangerous anti-vaxers like RFK Jr actually fuelling autism rates?

More plausible than other things RFK Jr. has been blaming.

And it has been decades of this. The COVID anti-vaxx movement was built wholesale on top of the MMR vaccine autism hoax which had been enthusiastically pushed by the Daily Mail et al.
The spreading of antivax propaganda—whether by publishing it outright or by creating space for doubt with irresponsible reporting—is just one of many sins of the British news media with a considerable body count for which few journos have apologised and almost none have changed their ways.

Under RFK Jr.’s demand for saline placebo controlled trials to approve any new vaccines (whether unethical or not to do them), new component vaccines will be much harder to get approved. Most likely, manufacturers just won’t bother. The result? Goodbye MMR.

Rinse, lather, repeat with other vaccines

A newish wrinkle is adopting the Wakefieldian idea of separating the MMR components into separate vaccines “to prevent autism.” This will force multiple patient visits to get the same protection. Worse, there are no currently approved single component vaccines for measles, mumps, or rubella.

The end result will be a paralyzed VICP and a flood of lawsuits that will drive vaccine manufacturers out of the US, just like what was happening in the 1980s, leading Congress to create the VICP. This is just one part of the plan.

That’s exactly what RFK Jr.’s endgame is, but he knows he can’t just ban vaccines all at once. So he’s chipping away at access. The latest is that, as I predicted, he’s going after the Vaccine Injury Compensation Program, plotting to bankrupt the system by adding autism as a compensable “injury.”
RFK JR & gang’s clear end goal is ending vaccination, as any would know who’d followed @gorskon.bsky.social or @pauloffit.bsky.social for years or even watched Shot in the Arm:
