You know when friends in a relationship split up and both host get togethers on the same day, and you go to one and see some friends who sided with that person, then a small group of you shuttle to the other’s and see those friends, and it’s more work and less enjoyment? Anyway I’m also on Mastodon.

Just spent five and a half hours at the NYFF watching Rebecca Miller's Mr. Scorsese, a brilliant, definitive, revelatory portrait of the filmmaker that earned a roaring and well-deserved standing ovation. I truly didn't want it to end.* On Apple 10/17.

*Full disclosure: I am in it for 12 seconds.

City Confidential narrated by Paul Winfield. This scandalous story had everything. Money. Snow. More snow. It was also parodied on SNL in 1976 and I think it was the first time they issued an apology.
