Another thing: stop taking Elon at this word. IRS Direct File is still live, as is its older cousin, Free Fillable Form. Elon and Trump lie, all the time. If Elon tells you it's raining, you first instinct shouldn't be to grab an umbrella it should be to look up.
2/ I think him and his minions are still somewhat constrained by the reality that the average American expects their touchpoints with the governments to function - fire half the National Park Service, federal law enforcement, stop Social Security/Medicare from posting, etc. and he'll be in deep.
