Right now MAGA Republicans are not mourning Charlie Kirk, they are not condemning gun violence, they are not admitting they created the monster that was Charlie or the access to the gun that killed him. What they are doing is strategizing how to benefit from his death.

Are tax refund delays a thing now? We filed a month ago and got our state refund almost immediately, but still no money from the feds. Are we getting held up in particular or is everyone getting equally screwed by DOGE fuckery?

The Signal story is really the perfect example of how Trump's litany of abuses have completely warped media coverage and the standard he is held to. It's being covered, but on the Trump curve, it's just another scandal, as opposed to a major national security threat that should lead to resignations.

I don’t know what is going to happen but one reason I am pessimistic about Harris’ chances is that a former Trump chief of staff saying the president praised Hitler doesn’t make the front pages, except maybe as an aside in a bigger story framed as a partisan attack by his rival
