For context, these were due to be published in March 2025. The NZ govt prevented their publication because they intended to ban puberty blockers and the guidelines show they are safe, effective, and standard care internationally. Today they were released in an OIA putting them in the public domain.
In some good news, today PATHA has finally been able to release the 2025 Guidelines for Gender Affirming Care in Aotearoa New Zealand. You can read them here: patha.nz/resources-an...

We need to campaign amongst all the 17 year olds we know to get them signed up.
This Bill could invalidate the votes of enough people to swing the next election in favour of the current government for no reason other than that they failed to fill out the correct piece of paper by the "proper" time (as defined by the people who benefit from the rule change).
Justice Committee recommends passing Electoral Amendment Bill with some amendments
The bill would prevent same-day enrolments, ban prisoners from voting, and tighten up the rules around treating.

Always. Same for linked in.
I don’t know if anyone else notices or cares, but when I see a presentation in which the speaker uses obviously generated-AI images to illustrate their slides, it makes me immediately less confident in whatever other content they’re presenting.

A knew a catholic priest years ago, a lovely guy, very down to earth. He also played the organ and someone told me that on Ascension Day once he played Up Up and Away. I heard this anecdote 30 years ago, and I still smile when I think of it.

Very tempting to reply to all the posts in my timeline with: “yes, but what sort of pie do they like”, or “that could be improved with more pies”. Seems to work…

My favourite Pie is the little Nannas blackberry and Apple ones from the supermarket. Low brow as far as pies go, but I don’t care. That and a really good mince with nice flakey pastry.

National has spent more on me to send this leaflet telling me I should be grateful, than they have in the last year on things that actually benefit my family, because I am not a landlord. Instead they give my taxes to industries actively trying to kill me, like tobacco and fossil fuels.

Let’s see if one single pundit who said there was some great realignment of American sentiment with this last election, based on what they saw on the Nazi-owned platform overrun by foreign actors, offers any retractions or corrections for their gullibility.

Ok Bluesky, let’s give this a go: I found this postcard in the back of a photo frame I bought at a London thrift shop.

It’s an unsent postcard from a woman called Linda to her parents. The front shows the Kremlin in Moscow and the stamp says 1984 (!).

I’d love to return it to Linda - can you help?
