What defines a correct program? What education makes a good programmer? The answer depends on what culture of programming you subscribe to!

This has been a long time in the making, but my open access book on the history of programming is available for pre-order!

Did you know that the Complete ZX Spectrum source code has been uploaded to Internet Archive by Timex. It was written by Nine Tiles on Zilog Development Studio and Timex obtained the same software.
A bit dry but there is a FART joke in there. See the last file.

So Putin can't beat a country of 35m and his country is crumbling under sanctions, yet he thinks he can beat Europe? If there's one thing the Ukraine war has proven, is Russia isn't the Bear they keep claiming to be.

Ever wonder why compilers use `xor eax, eax` to zero registers? It's smaller AND faster—CPUs optimise it out entirely!

I just released version 0.10.0 of SuperSonic - my web port of the powerful SuperCollider audio synthesiser.

It's feeling *really* good now, and I definitely think it's ready for people to start exploring.

Have a play and let me know what you think!

From FB: Russia is struggling. Selling off it's gold to pay for the war, rationing fuel, and now solders refusing to fight.

This is why they've come to the table, to get a pause and regroup.

Don't give in, keep the pressure on.

I spent over 3 months working full-time on a web port of SuperCollider’s powerful synth engine.

Just to add the best audio capability to Tau5.

If that’s not a clear sign that I’m in it for the long haul, I don’t know what is.

So... Russia gets everything it wants?

Well.... they can fuck off.

Yet more proof that Trump is a Russian asset. Russia is the aggressor, has murdered thousands of innocent Ukrainians, committed numerous war crimes, and Trump wants to give them everything?

Fuck off.

Can anyone think of a crop that is farmed at the north pole other than ice pops? It's funny that climate change doesn't seem to have affected ice pop availability at all. They really are nature's most plentiful bounty. What's your favourite flavour? Mine's blue - the taste of cool Arctic water.

The US needs to stop making peace plans without including the people who have been attacked by War criminals.

If Russia wants peace, they can leave Ukraine, give up all the land they've stolen, and pay reparations.
