Whether or not a given woman (or women in general) is interested in you is like experiencing a natural disaster. That is to say mostly out of your control. Believing otherwise will inspire either profound soul rotting resentment of others or pathological self loathing or both

The thing about voters is that they're fucking nuts. It's not even that they have *bad* opinions so much as they're so weird and contradictory that you cannot discern coherent ideological or policy preferences.

I think this is another area where Bill Kristol Thought stays winning. There’s something to be said for small c conservative views of how men should act. Donald Trump is ruled by emotion over reason, doesn’t keep his word, and is a dumb, crass bully. It is embarrassing and it’s not “woke” to say it.
I think there’s a similarity between the scolding of liberals for losing young men and scolding them for losing uneducated white voters.

My social life such as it exists is so weird, I’m a young Black lefty, but my social circle such as it exist hardly reflects that- I’m an Episcopalian so my church is a lot of people who are way older than me & almost all white & bc of the history of TEC, is lots of bourgeois upper middle class libs

Another trend that explains much of modern life: Ppl are too scared to follow their own logic. They come to conclusions X,Y, & Z but they’re so married to the status quo that they can’t break from it even when the observations that they *literally just made* demand major shifts in posture & policy
