A primary benefit of “software” is scalability and repeatability. I can write the task in code, then run it as many times as I like to get the same result.

With AI you get neither - costs inhibit scalability and outputs are mostly non-deterministic.

(There is no benefit modulating my voice for anyone's comfort. This is my fair take, but unapologetic truth. This phenomena has gone unchecked for too long)

NEW: The U.S. Postal Service posted a net loss of $3.3 billion in this fiscal year’s second quarter mainly due to “significant challenges out of our control,” including workers’ compensation costs, Luke Grossmann, USPS chief financial officer, said at the open session of the governing board meeting

And I realize this may seem like quibbling, but it's a form of argumentation that really frustrates me. When something is morally wrong, you don't have to tie yourself in knots in an attempt to otherwise dismiss its efficacy. Just hold the line on it being morally wrong, rather than muddy the issue.

The only time I’ve been threatened is by security vendors.
At lunch with coworkers yesterday, someone asked if I'd ever been threatened by cybercriminals, since I'm public about what I do.

Nope.

I shut down professionals making millions. It's all just business for them.

It's the amateur script kiddies doing stuff like DDoS-for-hire who are dangerous.

Hi everyone.

The Onion, with the help of the Sandy Hook families, has purchased InfoWars.

We are planning on making it a very funny, very stupid website.

We have retained the services of some Onion and Clickhole Hall of Famers to pull this off.

I can't wait to show you what we have cooked up.
The Onion Buys Alex Jones’s Infowars Out of Bankruptcy
The satirical news site planned to turn Infowars into a parody of itself, mocking “weird internet personalities” who peddle conspiracy theories and health supplements.
