If the ICE officer isn't prosecuted, then the rules of engagement with ICE have changed. It will mean they're allowed to shoot whomever they like and just say the magic words afterwards ("I felt threatened"). Ergo, if an ICE officer pulls a gun on you, the only logical move is...what?

It's nothing everyone doesn't already know, but ICE/CBP guys know they can do whatever they want. They're the absolute dregs of the Violence Worker Community, not trained for anything like what they're doing, out of their depth, all that. But it starts with them knowing they won't face consequences.

Everyone who was a DJ for a collegiate radio station in the 1990s has seen this album cover, especially the parts with the bad blurring on one edge and the completely janky lighting.

“What appears to be a newly created account appeared to invest $30,000 Friday in Maduro's exit. After Maduro went into custody Saturday morning, that same investor netted $436,759.61.”
Someone made $400K by predicting Maduro's capture. Here's what happened
The winnings come as the rules governing prediction markets are still evolving.

It's 2026.

Things many American school kids probably don't know how to do:

* Dial a rotary telephone

* Tell time from an analog clock

* Read or write cursive

* Decipher Roman numerals

* Navigate with a paper map or use a compass

* Balance a checkbook

I've always been more of a Woolly Mammoth Theater Company guy, but this mess over the Kennedy Center is so sad. For those who create theater in DC, the art form is their life. For Trump, it's a bauble for his display case.

Remember: You buying a copy of your favorite artist's record -- a physical copy, or even a digital one -- puts more money in their pocket than sharing the marketing slop about your year in listening, and it likely pays them more than all those streams added up. #BuyYourTop5

If Kimmel had done this riff with Charlie Kirk, he'd still be off the air.
Trump suggests Khashoggi had it coming: "You're mentioning someone that was extremely controversial. A lot of people didn't like that gentleman that you're talking about. Whether you like him or didn't like him, things happen. But he knew nothing about it. You don't have to embarrass our guest."

It's always amusing to me that he did so badly in Atlantic City. His entire m.o. is the same as a casino owner: optimize all space for maximum revenue. The only difference now is he has nothing to sell, but he sees open space as "how can we use this?" rather than "this could be an oasis."
