Asylum is a legal human rights under international law that the United States signed into. Since the start of this year dems, Harris especially, have pushed to end that to win Republican support. Selling out human rights for something that will never happen

There is no place without climate catastrophe because we are deeply interconnected. If we commit to not giving up on each other, we are also guaranteeing that nobody will give up on us.

Our safety is in solidarity.

I don't know what it's going to take to turn around American mainstream political attitudes on immigration, but really is astoundingly grim to see much of the Democratic party continually adopting Republican talking points. Real race to the bottom shit

Absolute abnegation of even the barest vestiges of journalism by journalists.

Congrats to decades of ref-punching by the GOP.

Genuinely one of the greatest political victories in modern politics, and I’m not being even remotely sarcastic.
CBS News Says It Will Be Up To Vance And Walz To Fact-Check Each Other In Veep Debate

In other words, Vance will be allowed to spew a firehose of lies with no pushback from “moderators,” who won’t actually moderate anything because CBS is scared of the right wing reaction.

CBS News says it will be up to the candidates, not the moderators, to fact-check each other.

One of the things Trump wrecked is any illusion that institutional libertarianism is grounded in principle. It’s always been grounded in the politics of anti-left donors. But that own-the-libs donor base has trended MAGA, leaving libertarians depending on them for a paycheck even more compromised.
Trump is openly running on election fraud, weaponizing DOJ, deporting 6-8 percent of the population, crippling tariffs, and imprisoning dissenters. It’s the most authoritarian, anti-freedom platform in modern presidential history.

This is the November cover of the leading libertarian magazine.

JFC!

Even if we can eliminate all CO₂ emissions from fossil fuels with carbon dioxide removal (CDR) or carbon capture and sequestration (CCS) (we can't; not even close), we shouldn't keep setting carbon on fire because air pollution from combustion will still kill millions of people every year.
