To paraphrase what an ICE field director said at a Texas hiring event earlier this year: what makes ICE different from other law enforcement officers is that we catch criminals "before" a crime is committed.
NEW: ICE has finally released post-shutdown detention data. The latest data reveals that a full 40%(!) of people arrested in the interior and held in ICE detention have no criminal record; no criminal charges or prior convictions. That is up from just 4% when Trump took office.

There's a handful of problematic Davidson County Precincts who's EV total is significantly lagging Primary Vote Totals. These precincts are like +99.9 D, but they all voted for "Vincent Dixie" in the Primary. so @aftynbehn.bsky.social needs to get these "Vincent Dixie" voters in like 1.5 weeks.

Dem comms strategy is one of the (many) ways I perceive the DNC and Democratic political elites as already seeing the democratic base as being political *subjects* instead of as co-participants in the process of democratic governance (aka *citizens*), making them a distinctly authoritarian party
Its just...there's absolutely no theory of horizontal, participatory politics. The recipients exist to provide funding to pay for campaigns to hopefully allow Democratic candidates to win. That is apparently the *only* way that constituents are understood as able to be part of the process.
