Fucking incredible dystopian shit, comparing super rich people risking millions if not billions of lives just to make more money to people that risked their life actually building incredible things that would then make millions of dollars for super rich people.

We didn't plagiarize, you made us plagiarize by asking questions to which we stole the answers.

"Because its output is generated by users of the chatbot via their prompts, OpenAI said, they were the ones who should be held legally liable for it – an argument rejected by the court."

Meta earns $3.5 billion every six months from showing Faceboon and Instagram users 15 billion “higher legal risk” scam ad impressions a day, internal documents state.

That haul vastly exceeds how much the company expects regulators
To fine it for running scam ads.

This is a product liability case waiting to happen.

I am becoming increasingly convinced that AI is like a table saw. Useful for specific tasks, harmful in the hands of untrained people, and even trained people can get complacent and fall into unsafe usage.

I don't buy the AI narrative around prosperity for all. There is plenty of money to go around yet it tends to flow to the top. I can't imagine a world where those in control of AI, assuming it actually works, will resist charging an ever increasing subscription fee cementing the haves and have nots.

BEZOS: “This is a kind of industrial bubble. .. The good ideas and the bad ideas [get funded]. And investors have a hard time in the middle of this excitement, distinguishing between the good ideas and the bad ideas. And that’s also probably happening today.”
