I love how the shapes continue from the weird protuberance at the bottom of the first panel, through the beam in the middle panel, through the corals in the last panel: all geared to focus on the close up headshot. Shows that design thinking was forefront even back then

I haven't been paying attention but a cursory glance at what's comic out it seems like the DC covers are more slick and cohesive while Marvel is pretty much all over the place
