I think the UK Government stays on Twitter to appease Trump and are fearful of the consequences of dissent.

Tax breaks for foreign millionaires but mass deportations for the rest. Huge austerity and NHS cuts, replacing NHS with insurance model, scrapping NetZero, workers’ rights and online safety act. And a trade war with the EU.

Reform:
Corrupt. Ruinous. Racist. Moronic.

as someone who pops in and visits often, I'm struck with the political cowardice in england to take on and challenge reform types head-on.

Polanksi appears to be the only political leader, in england, of the major parties calling for a referendum on article 49.
Dear english people,

Quick tip for 2026: tell anyone talking about "closer ties", "make brexit work" or "brexitism", to get in the feckin sea.

It's all just shorthand for political cowardice or "rather than admit I was wrong, I will now proceed to eat my other foot".

This does seem just a little bit bad! Idk the sort of thing you’d think politicians might distance themselves from or something!

If Iranian opposition leader Reza Pahlavi, the eldest son of the last Shah, had any real value he would have spent his time building a powerful force to repel the brutality of the IRGC.

His message: “My fellow countrymen, greetings to you and your honor and courage.

This divorced adulterer who covets other men's wives, constantly bears false witness, steals (elections), kills (fishermen), and plays golf every sabbath has obviously never opened a Bible. But, in fairness, he's never opened any other book either.

A Ukrainian ground drone held a frontline position for 45 days, repelling Russian assaults with a mounted machine gun and thermal sensors - zero casualties.

Meanwhile at Pokrovsk, Russia is sending soldiers on horseback. Vehicle losses have gotten that bad.

Startled, startled I tell you!
"An aide to Farage when he was an MEP, tells Crick that his boss hated policy meetings. “He was totally out of his bloody depth. Intelligent people – he was scared of them. He has an inferiority complex about education and highly qualified people.”

What the KENNEDY Center used to be…

Remember that time Aretha Franklin performed at the 2015 Kennedy Center Honors, paying tribute to Carole King, who co-wrote “You Make Me Feel Like A Natural Woman,” and it brought a tear to Obama’s eye and everyone to their feet? And Carole King’s reaction. Wow.
