In Tokyo and noticed a GodSpeed You! Black Emperor gig was tonight.

Then I remembered how annoying tickets are for non-residents, lol. Torn on whether ePlus is good or bad.

(Trip wasn't planned far enough in advance to have known)

Had someone email me out of the blue to say that my custom "instagram clone" inspired them to do their own.

Honestly? Always cool to see, love the maker attitude - though if you want self hosted there's also nothing really wrong with e.g PixelFed.

Oh man. I think I finally locked down one last bucket list racing experience for 2025.

Gonna be one ridiculous Christmas Eve, lol

Spent a decent chunk of yesterday attempting to determine why CI for Slippi was failing on macOS. Signing/Notarizing kept exhibiting weird keychain issues that were further obscured by some plugins the build chain uses not properly surfacing root causes.

Wound up SSHing in post-failure. The issue?

Three drivers. Eight months. Momentum that never stopped swinging. And the championship came down to two points.

Momentum ruled the season, and the last man seizing it was Lando Norris.

@lukesmithf1.bsky.social on how the wildest F1 season in years finished with a brand new champion.

My dad texted me and spoiled F1, so that was annoying.

Watching it finally tho and glad to see the iron grip of Mercedes and Red Bull broken.

For whatever reason, whiskey sets off whatever wheat related allergy I have. Found a distiller that does it from pure rice and figured I’d grab a bottle or two to try.

Don’t drink as much these days but would be nice to have for rare recipes that could use it too.

Do I migrate the server that's been running faithfully for years, even though I hate the server, hate the service that hosts it, and wish it was elsewhere?

...no. I do not migrate it. Fuck it, lol

Spot, the four-legged robot from Boston Dynamics Inc., is perhaps best known for its viral dance routines to songs like “Uptown Funk.” But beyond its playful antics, Spot’s ability to climb stairs and open doors signals a potentially controversial role as a policing tool.
