For more than a week, conservative media and politicians have worked themselves into a frenzy over a spectacle manufactured by a fencer who refused to compete against a 19-year-old trans woman. Here is the target of that hate campaign, finally, in her own words.
'My Entire Life Is Political': Trans Fencer Attacked by Conservative Outrage Machine Speaks Out
Red Sullivan, a fencer targeted by the anti-trans outrage machine after an opponent refused to duel her, says it was all a media stunt from the start.

In a leaked recording, State Senator Elena Parent (D-42) said she’d vote for Republican transgender healthcare bans because trans rights are too “unpopular."

NYTimes adding insult to injury in this tragedy. The “treatment” was for autism, which isn’t a thing, and was being done by someone with no medical training who charges cash for expensive bogus therapies. And now a 5-year-old is dead because of the grift.
A fire started inside an oxygen-rich hyperbaric chamber at a Michigan medical center on Friday, causing it to explode, killing a 5-year-old boy who was inside receiving treatment, officials said.

The boy was receiving medical treatment at a Michigan medical center when the chamber exploded on Friday, the authorities said. His mother was also injured.

this confirms something i have long suspected, which is that certain people are told that their professional and academic failures are because of “affirmative action” or “DEI” as a way to avoid difficult conversations about their mediocrity www.wsj.com/lifestyle/ca...
You Blamed DEI for Hurting Your Career. Now What?
For people who pin their failures on diversity, corporate America’s DEI retreat removes a barrier—or maybe an excuse.

skyrocketing EV sales have taken a giant bite out of Chinese oil demand. consumption might have peaked already, and it's projected to fall by 25-40 percent over the next decade www.ft.com/content/341f...
Has China already reached peak oil?
The country’s demand for crude seems to be plateauing sooner than expected. The implications are huge

It's such a bizarre understanding of personal morality, the idea that it's up to me to endlessly extend good faith to people who think I'm a groomer just so the country as a whole can address its (fake) "polarization" problem. It's immoral to ask people to do this!
