Occasional reminder: ethernet cables have an operational lifetime. If your home network seems weirdly slow, consider replacing all of your ethernet cables with new ones.

accidentally enabling the ADB watchdog is the most annoying possible thing to diagnose.
symptoms: device randomly boots into fastboot mode for no apparent reason, but only when you're not trying to debug it

Well I feel like a dumb dumb.
I'm rendering my next video away from the office so my laptop isn't docked. Powered by its own power brick it's easily rendering twice as fast it does on the dock. Looking like 3X faster than real time.

Some guy just yelled at me to control my dog because he had to share the sidewalk with us. My dog was smiling and wagging his tail at this man.
Today was not the day to try me so I yelled back “look at this tough guy yelling at a woman and her 12 pound dog for having the audacity to exist!”
