This is an excellent piece, and very frustrating given PPB's current attempt to remove several diverters here in NW. I'd love to see @councilorgreen.bsky.social make a push not just to maintain the diverters under threat, but install new ones all along our greenways

It's been a while.

Glad to be announcing a new game, and happy that it is something experimental and weird: a tiny, tense, turn-based strategy game about merging units into spectacular combinations, and then watching them evaporate thousands of bugs.

one very real, concrete way to help feed Gaza right now is through donating to World Central Kitchen
WCK’s mobile bakery in Gaza is currently producing 45,000 loaves of bread every day. With more supplies, including flour and fuel, we'd be able to more than double that daily output and support more Palestinian families in need. #ChefsForGaza

I genuinely believe that if the market pressure to make "safe" choices about which games to make did not exist, we would be seeing dozens of fundamentally new game genres every year.

we already do see this to some extent on less commercial platforms like itch, though of course at a smaller scale
Been thinking about this a bit, and yeah. There's been a growing sentiment recently that videogames are a solved problem and everyone's just rehashing ideas now.

And that just feels incredibly wrong? Whole new genres are popping up practically overnight. We're only starting to get the hang of VR!

Went and I checked this, and Edwin's correct: On the left is text from the reconciliation bill "PROHIBITING FEDERAL MEDICAID AND CHIP FUNDING FOR GENDER TRANSITION PROCEDURES FOR MINORS" On the right is from the Manager's amendment that strikes the word "FOR MINORS."

i don't really have any patience for the "buildings are clothes" argument. people insist that since cars are clothes, buildings must be as well. the important difference is that a car provides you with a belt to wear. that's an outfit. to insist a house is an outfit is absurd to the point of farce
