There's no way this paper was ever ready for prime time (it got an A anyway, thanks prof), but it was one of my favorite ones to write.
The Technology of Fixed Identity:
The Art of Jerking Yourself Off From Mirrors to New Media

“But, when she saw herself in the mirror, her face astonished her ... Some subtle influence diffused over her person transfigured it. ‘I have a lover! a lover!’ she kept repeating to herself” –Charles Flaubert, Madame Bovary, 1856 (199)

“I don’t trust mirrors so I always take Polaroids” – Cher Horowitz, Clueless, 1995

“Two thumbs up for rubbing alcohol” –kid on YouTube who lit himself on fire while wearing a banana suit, circa 2008

I don't think that's selfish! I think it's reasonable and something that most folks with chronic conditions can relate to on some level.

I'm going through some old college papers and how the fuck didn't they diagnose me with ADHD until I was 30 lol

(Note: I'm using a rhetorical device here, I'm not literally being put on trial for being a mess)
Exhibits Two and Three, Planner and Notes, Respectively, Have Been Lost; the Defendant offers the following explanation:

My planner has been under my bed all quarter. I was able to recover my notes for Cybernetic Fiction and Recycled Cinema, but even though I kicked my Cybernetic Fiction and Decadent Technologies notes into my closet at about the same time, they were, apparently, nowhere near one another.

Attorney General Pam Bondi: “Just like we did with cartels, we're going to take the same approach, President Trump, with Antifa. Destroy the entire organisation from top to bottom. We're going to take them apart."

The very first article that the White House highlights is from the BBC, which spoke to a resident near the ICE facility who says they have to sleep with a gas mask because of all the tear gas being used.

Pretty sure the feds are the ones using the tear gas, not antifa.

DHS statement is extremely sus even by fed standards
unraveledpress.com
ICE reportedly opened fire on rapid responders on the southwest side this afternoon.

There are *very few* details on this available at this time. Treat all rumors with caution until verified.

This Sun-Times article cites a DHS statement that should be treated, as always, with extreme skepticism:
Shooting involving federal agents in Brighton Park under investigation
According to the Department of Homeland Security, a woman allegedly "boxed in" federal authorities, who opened fire.

It does in fact sound quite bizarre to me, which is why I hope reporters on the ground can help provide some details soon.

Their story is that they shot and wounded a woman, who supposedly had her own gun and was perceived as a threat, and then that woman drove herself to the hospital?

Doesn't that sound bizarre? How is that the conclusion to an incident in which federal agents shoot someone, claiming self defense?
