Larson's death is another grim reminder that when pedestrians or cyclists are hit by drivers, only in the most egregious and reckless cases are significant charges filed. Otherwise, it's seen as an "accident," and legal consequences and justice can be harder to come by.

OK folks. The Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices is meeting on Friday to discuss Covid vaccines. If it is possible, I do recommend getting a Covid vaccine before then. I know due to out of pocket costs and prescription requirements in some states it is easier said then done.

PRIDE NEWS: The fencing placed around Dupont Circle yesterday by the National Park Service is coming down this morning, a few hours before the WorldPride Parade is scheduled to start. Its placement, for public safety reasons, drew widespread criticisms from many locals.
