Jesus Christ. When was the last time you heard anyone say something like this?
🇪🇺🇬🇧 Through my first set of meetings in Brussels. The praise for Starmer is overwhelming: “What he has managed to do is not just good for him. It's good for all of us. Absolutely top notch. This is the UK at its best. The UK we have always admired.

I made a decision long ago to not react to every thing that Trump says, because him saying anything doesn't mean something is going to happen.

But for the avoidance of doubt, if you think a surrender deal can be imposed forcefully on Ukrainians, then you don't know Ukrainians.

I'm not easily shocked, but the sight of individuals cheering on the richest man in the world as he takes away vital aid to the most desperate people on this Earth has shocked me.

There are good people. There are bad people. Then there's Elon Musk and his empathy devoid flesh failure followers.

This is not a drill. We’re witnessing a meltdown of America. While America goes rogue, fires its most dedicated officials, replaces them with juvenile delinquents, and pisses off every ally, its enemies will take advantage. The crisis is real. This is not hyperbole. This is not a drill.

I’ve heard from community health centers in Minnesota who are already looking at layoffs by the end of the day. May not be able to make payroll at the end of the week.

This is a big opportunity for the Lib Dems who are pitching themselves as "the only party that will criticise Trump" (as I wrote last week). www.newstatesman.com/politics/lib...
NEW: Downing Street refuses to condemn the Trump administration for withdrawing from the Paris climate accord, saying it will not give a “running commentary” on executive orders. Also no comment on Elon Musk’s Nazi salutes. No 10 spokesman says he has not seen them.

I’ve seen a lot lately about the screenwriters outdoing themselves again. But honestly, if you were crafting a fictional treatment of the demise of American democracy, you would have tried to make the characters a lot more plausible.

Let’s also not forget leaving the ECHR could result in UK’s trade deal with the EU being terminated because the convention is written into the 2020 Trade & Co-operation Agreement & would also breach the Good Friday Agreement which requires the Convention be directly enforceable in Northern Ireland

“We need to leave the ECHR so we can deport people that come illegally & take back control of our borders & that’s what the public wants”
