Yesterday my 9 yr old granddaughter witnessed a man being chased across yards & grabbed by masked gunman in their alley (Oak Park). A man was pulled off a lawnmower. Fences broken, gates shattered. Men were being zip-tied and thrown into black SUV’s. Helicopters fly in the neighborhood. It’s wrong.

Kyle Kingsbury is not a journalist. He is not an op-ed writer.

He is a computer safety researcher.

And he has written one of the most compelling, comprehensive accounts of the ongoing hell in Chicago that you could possibly imagine.

In under 1600 words.

Again: Abolish the filibuster.

But as @gallego.senate.gov said at #CrookedCon, it has already been abolished — R’s ended it multiple times when it was convenient (judges), Dems should do the same for the things that matter and help people.

To put things just slightly differently: Congratulations, Mr. Schumer, you just made Democrats part of the bums voters are going to want to throw out in 2026, if not sooner.
Great job, @schumer.senate.gov. You've changed the story from "GOP hurting millions of Americans to please unpopular, failing, delusional despot who's destroying his party" to "Dems are too weak and divided in the face of Trump's strength to take a stand and protect Americans"

Trump's pardon of allies who helped him try to subvert the 2020 election is important. It's a permission slip--no, it's an encouragement, even an order--to allies to be ready to try to subvert the elections in 2026, and 2028.

The pardons are primarily symbolic: No one on the list has been charged with federal crimes, and Trump can't pardon those facing state charges in GA, AZ, NV and WI.

But it's another effort by Trump to recast the history of his bid to seize a second term in 2020. www.politico.com/news/2025/11...
