Trump’s new farm rule betrays American workers
Last week, the Trump administration pushed through a rule change that went largely unnoticed by the mainstream press. Under the new rules, H-2A workers — the only uncapped guest worker programme in th...

Calvin & Hobbes is widely regarded as one of the greatest comic strips of all time and I feel like we STILL underrate it.

Your Mother’s Day weekend reminder that the so-called “party of family values” has historically blocked:

-Paid family & medical leave
-Universal childcare
-Universal pre-K
-Expanded Child Tax Credit
-Programs to support reproductive health

Doesn’t sound very pro-family to me.

Eugenicists are so stupid.
The U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services has repeatedly claimed: “If you’re healthy, it’s almost impossible to die from an infectious disease in modern times.”

That is dangerously false.

This was 100% predictable and 100% preventable, if only RFK Jr weren't an anti-medical science crackpot. He will of course deny any responsibility here, and continue saying things that will injure and possibly kill children.
“Physicians at Covenant Children’s Hospital in Lubbock, Texas, say they’ve now treated a handful of children who were given so much vitamin A that they had signs of liver damage.”
For Some Measles Patients, Vitamin A Remedy Supported by RFK Jr. Leaves Them More Ill
After the health secretary promoted vitamin A as a cure, parents in West Texas began giving their children high doses, sometimes to prevent infection.

And yeah, it may be obvious to mention 1984, but… c’mon. People are saying how the Holocaust was a mass “unaliving” and are too scared to call it by its name.

We never needed a dystopian government to suppress our language. Corporations are far more adept at making us suppress it ourselves.

Trump claims his tariff pause is the result of concessions from Canada and Mexico on border enforcement.

But many of these so-called "concessions" are policies both countries were already doing (or planning to do) before he took office.

Some dealmaker, huh?
Analysis | Did Trump cave on his Canada and Mexico tariffs?
Some of the purported concessions that led to a 30-day pause on the tariffs were things Canada and Mexico had already done before Trump’s threat, but it’s complicated.
