Horrific mass shooting at Brown. Thinking of the victims and their families.

We simply do not have to live this way.

The failure to pass gun safety legislation is a moral stain & innocent Americans pay the price time and again.

We want to apologize and clarify our earlier post about the student walkouts in Charlotte, NC. While tons and tons of young people took part in the protests, we overlooked the fact that some students aren’t staying home to make a statement, some are staying home out of fear. And it’s not only

FASCISM AND ITS SYMBOLS ARE BEING ACCEPTED INTO US MILITARY

Thats the headline
Exclusive: The U.S. Coast Guard will no longer classify the swastika, nooses and the Confederate flag as hate symbols.

The military service drafted a new policy that classifies them as “potentially divisive.”

WATCH — @repstevenhorsford.bsky.social : “My amendment would redirect that $40 BILLION from Argentina to fund the ACA subsidies for two years… a far better use of taxpayer dollars.”

Why do we have money for Argentina while our own people lose their health care? How does this make us great?

Hi, I'm the ProPublica reporter who's been tracking an unusual stat: U.S. citizens grabbed by immigration agents.

I did it because the government isn’t.

This is what I found.

And also, always reminders to my fellow mid-40s friends:

• term life insurance
• go see your cardiologist AND your dermatologist (and get all of those unpleasant exams)
• make your wishes & expectations clear
• drink more water
• if you are thinking about someone, reach out & tell them.

This is why "valuation" is such a bullshit metric.

These insane numbers (whether a billionaires worth, or the value of a stock) are just made up by the feelings of a handful of homo sapiens.

And YET, it's what runs most of the modern world.

There’s a GoFundMe link in here, but that’s not why I’m reposting. The Wagoneer that the ICE agents are in looks like a rental car. Out-of-state plate with no ring & a white rectangular sticker in the windshield. It’s quite common for the gov’t to rent cars, but in this context, it raises red flags.
Here's a disturbing video of ICE agents crashing an SUV into a car, starting to drive away, then coming back and violently arresting the female driver. We haven't seen any news coverage of this case, but @gofundme.com told us, "This fundraiser is verified."
