I see it. I have lived it. 83 years ago, the U.S. government turned upon a group of its own citizens and residents and sent them to internment camps without due process. I was there among them. American fascism is back. It is here. It is now.

Making my way through Brynne Weaver’s back catalog and this was the next one on the list. It’s darker than her newer books and leaned more towards thriller/horror than romance. The romance between with main characters was good, but almost felt like a subplot to everything else that’s going on 4.5 ⭐️

I only really liked one of the issues in this volume. The Oracle storyline was not for me. But if you’re going to have Batgirl make fun of male Fantsay writers while slaying dragons and kissing guys, I’m here for it

I was really enjoying this series right up until it took a super religious turn out of no where. It’s nice that some answers were given. But, when the answer is a lecture about how Jesus died for our sins that’s when I tap out - 2.5 ⭐️
