since everyone’s ~reflecting~ i guess i’ll say my piece into the void too: my personal 2025 was pretty terrible overall. health, work, money, family…bad times abound (but! shoutout to my dance studio for facilitating most of the few highlights i did have, and for keeping me sane enough to carry on)

FYI I learned BigCartel has an "AI Shield" setting which I just turned on. This prevents training bot crawlers, but it may not stop the type of scraping Amazon is probably doing. So not sure it will hep but worth a try.

Update: I emailed the opt-out address listed on their website and got a reply. But, I never. Should. Have. Had. To. Opt. Out. I’m so tired of these tech companies & their entitlement. DoorDash putting small restaurants on their apps w/o permission, AI scraping our sites, & now this? It’s exhausting

If you see items in a black box like this on the Amazon app (presumably similar on desktop), do NOT use Amazon to purchase. Go to the artist's site directly to see what they actually have, buy more easily, and not support this garbage concept that big corps can scrape whatever they want.

found out over xmas that much of my family is “obsessed” with ch*tGPT…except my mom! apparently they tried to pressure her into using it, she was skeptical and asked me about it first, understood the harm it causes, and now doesn’t want to even try it once! i’m so proud, i’ve taught her well 🥹

so if you’re in any way photosensitive and thought this “dim flashing lights” setting in iOS accessibility settings might be a neat way to safeguard yourself…it actually ADDED strobing to videos that didn’t already have it 🤦♀️ so... use at your own risk.
