I’m the chronically online transit nerd who went out and started operating trains - My views and opinions do not represent those of my employer. I don’t know why people would assume that, but in the interest of keeping my job, it’s here.
For a local comparison our slowest MAX line takes 31 minutes to travel about the same distance as the Finch West LRT

Whenever he talks about affordability you can absolutely tell that the man has never had to buy things like a normal person. Insane levels of Lucille Bluth energy every time he talks about it.
Trump: "You can give up certain products. You could give up pencils. Because under the China policy, every child can get 37 pencils. They only need 1 or 2. They don't need that many. You always need steel. You don't need 37 dolls for your daughter. 2 or 3 is nice. So we're doing things right."

I applaud Wilson's goal to see 2,500 new housing units underway in Central Portland by 2030, and would suggest that if he wants that to the case he should make sure the Central City Code Amendments Project is as ambitious as possible www.oregonlive.com/politics/202...
Here are 3 things Portland’s mayor wants to see in the central city by 2030
Hitting any one of the targets announced by Mayor Keith Wilson will likely be an extremely tall order.

Let’s have a bunch of people get really sweaty right before they sit in a cramped metal tube for 4 hours. This is what the American people want.
Duffy on what he's doing to improve the airport experience for travelers: "Maybe I want a workout area where people might get some blood flowing doing some pull ups or step ups in the airport."

The “steal gas, get shot” sign right next to the 102nd MAX platform is such a warm welcome to East Portland when you’re on the blue line.

Every day, usually more than once, I have to make an announcement like this. I think people just assume we can stop on a dime like a car. This is another daily reminder that we can’t. It takes a loooonnnngggg time to stop 200,000 lbs of metal.

I grew up in Texas and left for the PNW the second I turned 18 and could leave. I relate so hard to everything here. That place sucks and I dread every time I have to go back to visit family. So glad my parents also realized how much it sucks and are moving up here so I never have to go back.

I reallyyyyyy need TriMet to cover the emergency door release on the trains like they do on the buses. Those things are pulled way too often.

Noticed this weird-ass house from the MAX and I really need to know what its floor plan looks like.

good news folks I think trimet is cooking with the swag this year

Y’know if TriMet ran the green and red lines as a single through-running east side line you could actually free up capacity on the system for 7 1/2 minute headways everywhere.

Kinda mad that Dallas gets a new rail line after I move away yet here in Portland (supposedly a “good transit city”) nothing for over a decade now.

I am begging people to stop crossing the chains on Interstate. Every day someone almost gets themselves killed doing it and I’m so tired of having close calls like that.
