Juno the Old English Game hen went to the vet today. She’s been there before with a broken leg, and she was definitely giving the vet the side-eye. Turns out her inability to walk was not the right leg being rebroken, or the left dislocated. It was arthritis.

All my recent books went from hardcover to trade paperback and almost all of my backlist in mass market has now migrated to trade. The role of mass market paperbacks is now handled almost entirely by ebooks. I'm okay with this but it is the end of an era.

It worries me so much that we will never recover as a society from the antiscience misinformation spread on social media and in some of the right wing press. This has unpicked health preventions, turned some MPs against vaccines. This antiscience is pushing us back in time to the dark ages.
