Protip: for any cis people who don’t already know, the phrase “this person” is an extremely obvious way transhobes often degender and/or misgender trans people.

you should generally not use that phrasing. especially if you are criticizing someone who happens to be trans.

A someone who has written extensively about the eugenic roots that permeates those who claim to be building so-called artificial general intelligence, I'm here to tell you to please NOT compare criticism against corporations claiming to build a machine god, with eugenics. The audacity.

if you're writing a sentence that sounds like eugenics but you go "oh that's fine to say because it's not a real person" (whatever that means) you may want to consider what made you okay with saying that.

I mean, I doubt many of us have ever trusted moderation decisions on this platform, but that's something I pointed out two years ago.

The problem here is that many users do not have a any trust relationship with the people doing the labeling, let alone a high trust relationship. this is a direct result of there being NO T&S architecture into which we can place our trust. Again, you need the social to hang the technical on.

All this is to say that there is a clear problem with how moderation decisions are made across this platform, a problem that reserves contextual sensitivity for some users but denies it to others. As long as this problem remains, we cannot trust moderation decisions on this platform to be fair.

In contrast, Link made a meme response to Charlie Kirk's death, something numerous other users have done, following trolling criticism of the BlueSky team. The political pressure following Kirk's death and the criticism of the team might be contextual factors that elevated Link's minor offense.

Were this the case, I should've caught a ban or at least a warning for the posts made above. That said, an alternative explanation would be a selective understanding of how your rules apply and in which cases these rules apply: I'm talking about whiteness and white people in general.

Still further, because the reasons for moderation did not (in my view) explain the nature of the violations, it becomes difficult to see how your moderation decisions satisfy your criterion for explanability. That is, it seems as though your moderation decisions are based on vibes and not evidence.

More broadly, I am willing to assume that this is a failure of the automated nature of your moderation, however, this would not account for how my posts slipped through and Erin's post was caught by the moderation system. That you described it as "moderation error" also implies a human element.

Insofar as this is the case, it should be incumbent upon you to provide an explanation for why some kinds of posts (like mine) are treated as not in violation of the TOS and why other kinds of posts (like Link's) are treated as violations of the TOS, despite being relatively similar.
