Fetterman, Cortez Masto, Durbin, Gillibrand, Hassan, Peters, Schatz, and Chuck Fucking Schumer ALL VOTED NO on the Continuing Resolution. They voted to let it pass—ostensibly because it was essential that it pass—AND THEN THEY FUCKING VOTED AGAINST IT.

Two Republican senators told me tonight this vote shows they can execute the same strategy again — cut Democrats out of the negotiations on a gov’t funding bill, pass it thru the House, and expect Senate Dems to back down and not filibuster it.

“We liked it over here,” one said.

whether they’re retiring or not this should be the last term for each of them
The final tally to advance the CR is 62-38.

Cortez Masto (NV)
Durbin (IL)
Fetterman (PA)
Gillibrand (NY)

Among the material devastation to everyday people, Senate Dems have now blown a hole in their ability to work with the House.

We had an agreed upon plan, House took immense risk, then Senate turned around midway and destroyed it w/ a fear-based, inexplicable abdication.

They own what happens next.

The Dems who refused to use the only leverage they have.

Let it be known.

i honestly have never seen a political leader so thoroughly destroy their credibility so quickly and, on the other side, it is abundantly clear that if anyone can claim a genuine leadership of large parts of the democratic party, it is AOC.
Folks is it good when your own party's leadership in the House is dropping "listen to the women" and MLK quotes on you while swing state members of your caucus are talking about new leadership

Men are shifting right because Republicans are making their lives worse and telling them to blame women and immigrants.

Democrats should be pointing out this *extremely obvious* dynamic, not trying to peddle a lighter version of the same narrative.

Hey, remember when so many elected Democrats publicly called for Joe Biden to drop out of the race that he actually did?

We need Democrats doing that now with Chuck Schumer. @schumer.senate.gov is unfit. #ResignSchumer

1. Finally some fight.

"Have you no decency!?" asked Rep. Keating after a Republican rep called Sarah McBride "Mr. McBride" repeatedly.

McBride shot back, calling the chairman "Madam Chairman."

Fireworks erupted, Dems protested, and the hearing was cancelled.

"Have You No Decency?": Republican Calls Sarah McBride "Mister," Dems Erupt And End Hearing
During a meeting of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, a Republican representative, Rep. Keith Self, called transgender congresswoman the "gentleman from Delaware." Dems pushed back.

6. “We will continue this hearing,” Self insisted.

Keating stood his ground. “You will not continue it with me unless you introduce a duly elected representative the right way!”

Without further discussion, Self abruptly adjourned the hearing.

musk illegally seized control of the treasury and now wants to end social security and medicare and plunge tens of millions of americans into destitution so that we won’t go “bankrupt,” a thing that practically-speaking can’t happen
Musk: "The waste and fraud in entitlement spending -- that's the big one to eliminate. That's the half trillion, maybe 600 or 700 billion a year. That's also the mechanism by which Democrats attract & retain illegal immigrants by essentially paying them to come here & then turning them into voters."

Yeah, this is a perennial truth -- landmark struggles over free speech typically involve people who are saying and doing things that are *unpopular*

That's, uh, why they need the protection of the First Amendment. It's sort of the whole point.
if you find yourself reluctant to support the guy at Columbia because you find some of the politics he espoused distasteful or even abhorrent, you should know that this is exactly the reaction that they hoped for in choosing him as a target for unlawful detention based on political speech.

This was always the risk with Gabbard and Patel at the head of our intelligence gathering.

We not only will lose our own sources who won’t trust them, but we will lose intelligence from our close allies.

This makes a terrorist attack on US soil much more likely.
Britain urged to form breakaway 'Four Eyes' alliance without the US
